Student Feedback

What have students had to say?

For students considering the online program, what are the benefits?

  • You get to work at your own pace.

  • Working Online allows for you to work at your own pace.

  • Benefits are having a flexible schedule, being able to immediately see certain grades, and working at your own pace.

  • There are many benefits to the online program. Going online has helped with my mental health a lot. If you have bad anxiety or you are antisocial and don’t enjoy being around people, online will definitely help. If you are more of an independent person and you like to set your own schedule it is also very beneficial. Online has personally helped me a lot with maintaining my personal life as well as my school life. I seem to get a lot more done and I am a lot more motivated to do my work. Another benefit is that you can go at your own pace. You don’t have to feel rushed and you are also able to get ahead.

  • You can finish school pretty well if you go fast enough and try. I tend to feel rewarded when I finish my assignments during the week. It gives a lot of free time or time for work as well.

  • I would say the benefits are you get to do school on your own time, whatever is best for your schedule, and it makes your life a lot easier not having to worry about “homework” after you are done on the computer.

  • You can take your own time to do your own work and you don’t have a certain requirement for one day only for the week.

  • You are able to get as much school work done as fast (or slow) as you want. You're independently learning and completing classes, which may be easier for some people.

  • You get to work In your own environment and can concentrate better.

  • Your schedule is a lot more flexible so you can work around other people's schedules. You can go to a lot more events as a result of the flexibility of the online schedule.

  • You get to be flexible and have a decent job while doing school you can finish early if you work hard.

  • It's self-paced

  • There is more free time and more flexibility. You can do a lot more outside of school work as there is no set time that you have to do work at home.

  • You make your own schedule and you can work from the comfort of your own home.

  • It's a more consistent, controlled, and safe environment. There are many more options as to how you can work. Also, you have much more free time to pursue things outside of school.

  • You can get ahead in your classes.

  • I like having control over when I do my school work, doing school in a calmer environment, having a more flexible schedule, and having a more personalized experience.

  • You can complete your classes in whatever order you want and create your own schedule and complete things on your own pace.

For students considering the online program, what are the cautions?

  • Just  stay ahead.

  • It is very easy to fall behind, so make sure you know for sure you want to go online.

  • It's a lot more work than what most people think. It takes self-motivation and good time management.

  • I would tell them that it is a lot more work that you would probably expect. I would also tell them that it is very easy to get behind and it can be stressful at times.

  • Be sure to have plenty of people to talk to outside of online school, so that you have a social life.

  • If they are easily distracted and can't focus very well, it’ll probably be a little more difficult for them.

  • Don’t rush.

  • Don’t procrastinate.

  • It’s not a free pass out of school and it’s just as hard.

  • Don't think it's going to be easier than going into school. It is every bit as difficult as going in every day.

  • It takes more effort than people initially believe.

  • Online courses take much more self- motivation then they might think.

  • Try to complete more than the minimum requirements for the week so you don’t get behind.

  • Don't get behind. Always try to stay on top of your school work. Also, always communicate with your online teacher and counselors. The more you communicate the better it is for both parties.

  • To not slack or fall behind.

  • You have to be responsible for creating your own schedule and completing your school work on your own you don’t have a teacher there with you helping you

  • Don’t wait to do your work until last minute. Plan out time each week to do your work.

  • Don't get behind. It's harder to complete your classes if you're behind.
